Inventory Controller

We are looking for a professional and dynamic Inventory Controller to join our Auckland Foodservice team.

About the Role and Role Responsibilities:
The main job responsibility is to control and handle storage of inventory items, including maintaining optimum levels of inventory to meet current demands.

In this job, you will-

  • Monitor and maintain current inventory levels.
  • Ensure consistent outbound picking and shipping of customer orders
  • Efficiently handle incoming truckload shipments.
  • Carry out and control a rapidly moving and changing inventory through manual recounts and relocating inventory.
  • Work with the warehouse team to ensure the efficient handling and storage of goods.
  • Work closely with buyers to process purchasing orders, track orders and investigate problems as required.
  • Monitor the process of unpacking, re-stocking items as necessary; labelling shelves.
  • Oversee and maintain records of incoming and outgoing goods.
  • Maintain database, perform physical count of inventory, and reconcile actual stock count to computer-generated reports.
  • Acknowledge the receipt of incoming goods.
  • Ensure dated lines, damaged sacks, bags, cartons etc. are managed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Oversee and ensure arrival of overseas containers are handled efficiently and effectively by arranging the necessary labour etc.


About you:
You will be a dynamic person who can plan, organise, and control the handling and storage of inventory items, including maintaining optimum levels of inventory to meet current demands. Previous NZ experience in a supervisory position within a similar industry is what we require.
